Electrostatic painting is a process that uses an electric charge to make paint stick evenly to a metal surface, kind of like how a magnet pulls things together. The paint is sprayed from a special gun and given a positive charge, while the metal object has a negative charge, causing the paint to be attracted to it. This method creates a smooth, even coat with very little waste, making it efficient and high-quality compared to regular spray painting.
Electrostatic painting requires specialized equipment to ensure a smooth, efficient, and high-quality finish. ERS, LLC utilizes Ransburg electrostatic refinishing equipment on all its e-paint jobs.
Here are the key components:
- Electrostatic Spray Gun – This tool charges the paint particles, allowing them to be attracted to the grounded surface for even coverage.
- Power Supply Unit – Provides the necessary electrical charge to create the electrostatic effect.
- Air Compressor – Helps atomize the paint and control the spray pattern.
- Paint Material – Typically solvent-based paints that can hold an electric charge for proper adhesion. ERS, LLC also offers waterborne electrostatic applications.
- Grounding System – Ensures the painted object is properly grounded to attract the charged paint particles.
This setup allows for efficient paint transfer, reducing waste and ensuring a durable, professional finish.
We use a catalyst additive that accelerates the dry time and increases the durability of the finish. Whereas we recommend that the finish is allowed as much time as possible to fully cure (72 hours) before resuming normal use, the finish is dry to touch within 45-60 minutes.
No. With a choice of flat, satin, semi-gloss, or gloss, you can choose from a wide spectrum of colors to transform your surfaces. We offer both solvent and waterborne electrostatic applications.
We use a Laser Photonics LPC-1500CTH-D with Built in Chiller.
It is a pulsed fiber laser that emits light in short, powerful bursts rather than a continuous beam. The one we use is a portable laser surface preparation and cleaning system.
Fiber pulsed lasers strip surfaces by emitting short bursts of intense light that break down paint, rust, or coatings without using chemicals or abrasive materials. Unlike traditional methods that rely on sanding or harsh solvents, laser cleaning is eco-friendly because it produces no waste, reduces air pollution, and eliminates the need for toxic chemicals. This makes it a cleaner, safer, and more precise way to restore surfaces while protecting the environment.
Yes. Our laser is portable.
We utilize Bluebeam Revu to streamline estimate creation using measurement tools specifically created for our business.
For cross-functional team communication, Revu centralizes collaboration by organizing notes, comments, and markups in one location, eliminating the need to switch between platforms. Teams can track contributions, filter comments, and share custom tool sets, ensuring efficient project coordination. Additionally, Bluebeam Studio enables real-time collaboration, allowing architects, engineers, and contractors to review plans from anywhere.
Additionally, we share a proprietary app with our sister company, Prime Staging Solutions, that allows us to track inventory and share information with project managers 24/7.
Refurbishing refrigerated cases instead of buying new ones saves the grocery stores we work with a lot of money while keeping their equipment working like new. Instead of spending thousands on brand-new cases, they can repaint, clean, and replace worn-out parts to extend the life of their existing units for a fraction of the cost. Plus, it’s better for the environment since it reduces waste and avoids unnecessary manufacturing. Refurbishing also takes less time than installing brand-new equipment, meaning stores can keep running smoothly without major disruptions.
We partner with our sister company, Prime Staging Solutions, to offer refurbished and as-is, used cases.
